Favorite Storybooks :)

The Children’s Biblical Zoo was my favorite storybook. The design of the storybook was very appealing and fits well with the title of the book. It was adorable and made me think of the stories I was introduced to as a child in bible school. The images and characters made the storybook really fun and feel kid-friendly. Also, the introduction/about page of the storybook made me excited to begin reading the bible stories. It gave a good, short summary of each section of the storybook and explained the theme of the book. I enjoyed the overall theme and the variety of stories that went along with it.

Everything is Froggy is a creative storybook filled with tales about frogs. It is entertaining and funny. Each section of the book is about a different frog, and I really enjoyed The Frog King tale. The Princess and the Frog was one of my favorite books as a child. It is based off of the tale The Frog King, so it was fun to read the original story that inspired my favorite childhood book. The structure of the storybook was creative, and I like how each tale was composed of diary entries from each the frog. It made the storybook easier to read and more enjoyable as a reader.

The storybook called Louisiana Animal Folk Tales was a great storybook. It had a variety of short stories, and each one was about a different animal. I liked that the overall theme of the storybook was about animals and that there were multiple story tales within the book. Some tales I enjoyed reading but there were some that I found disturbing. The tale “Compare Lapin and Mr. Turkey” was the one tale I did not enjoy in this storybook. It was entertaining and had a surprising but disturbing end. I really enjoyed this whole storybook and the theme.
