Greek Mythology: The Olympian Gods
One idea for my storybook is to choose a few Olympian Gods/Goddesses and create a few tales to tell about each of them in my storybook. The web link above has information about each Olympian God, so that would be very helpful when writing my stories.

Zeus
This storybook about Zeus would involve his multiple loves. I think it would be fun to make my storybook into a modern and fun romantic comedy about Zeus and his romances.

Hans Andersen's Fairy Tales
Many of these fairy tales have been made into Disney movies, and so many of these fairy tales remind me of my childhood. I would love to choose one of the fairy tales and put a personal twist on it to make it my own.

Shakespeare
I have always loved Shakespearean plays and would really enjoy writing a storybook about one of them. When I was in middle school, every spring semester my Literature class would learn about a new Shakespearean play. These were some of my favorites: A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo & Juliet, or Macbeth. I think it would be fun to write a prequel story or even a sequel for one of these works by Shakespeare.

    I really like your rom-com idea for Zeus! I think that you could make that really interesting and funny depending on how you tell it. I also enjoy Shakespeare so I would be very interested in reading a storybook expanding or retelling one of his works. I'm using fairy tales also, but the Brothers Grimm. It would be interesting to see your spin on them and how you reimagine classic stories that everyone knows a version of.

Week 7 Story: The Fox and His Family

There once was a fox family who lived in the woods. Tod was the youngest member of the family. He had a mother, a father, an older sister, and a big brother.  One night they were sleeping in their home, and they woke up because they smelled burning wood. They came out of their burrow and saw that the entire forest around them was in flames. They were very scared and had to create a quick plan to get to safety. So, they decided the best place to go was to the watering hole. Tod's father told the family, "Follow me to the watering hole, quickly." When they reached the watering hole, they were relieved but exhausted from running.  It was extremely crowded at the watering hole because many other animals had the same plan as the fox family, so the fox family looked for a less crowded spot to lay down and relax.  Looking around at her exhausted family, mother asked, “Where’s Tod?” They began to worry that maybe he got lost or didn’t make it to the waterin...
